19 of Medvedev's 21 titles have been won on hard courts
A comeback Medvedev claimed his maiden championship for 882 days with a win over opponent Moutet in the tournament final.
The Russian, a former top-ranked player, has experienced a challenging season, achieving just a single victory at the major tournaments and experiencing a meltdown at the US Open.
Medvedev's varied form on the professional circuit - and struggles with his serve in specific - caused him dropping out of the elite rankings and ultimately splitting with long-term mentor Cervara.
Presently working with Thomas Johansson and his other coach, he has consistently advanced in the recent weeks - peaking in a tightly fought 7-5 4-6 6-3 win over Frenchman Moutet.
This marks Medvedev's initial title after the 2023 Rome Masters and first on a hard surface since spring of the previous year.
The win also signifies the Russian has achieved twenty-one titles at twenty-one distinct competitions.
"This marks the first occasion I'm at a tournament with my both daughters at once, so to win a championship is really nice," stated ranked player Medvedev.
"This championship is in honour of my younger daughter her name, because the maiden victory I got when my child her name was born was for her."
The athlete, the 2021 US Open champion, had been defeated in his last six finals, featuring in Halle in the past months.
Medvedev's retrieving play style and frequent reactions on the playing surface had caused observers to doubt if his ability to play at the elite level was over.
But the player has altered his approach in recent weeks, attempting to advance forward and play assertively, reinforced by an enhanced serving game.
He fought back from a deficit in the first set against the challenging opponent, securing 4 of the final five exchanges to go ahead.
The pair traded service breaks in the second set before the challenger, striving for his first ATP Tour championship, gained dominance to create a decider.
He rescued 4 initial break points in a competitive third set before Medvedev secured a break to fifteen to close out the victory.
Suitably, he secured the win with a rally at the net area, with the Frenchman failing to handle a return after over two and a half hours.
